CFEG Master Electronic Consent & Acknowledgment
Single, unified consent covering all CFEG policies, rules, agreements and forms.
This is the single, unified consent that CFEG captures at online registration. It is designed so that one “I AGREE” covers everything, so a Participant does not have to open and hand-sign each policy and form separately.
By checking “I AGREE” and submitting my CFEG registration — or by enrolling in, accessing, attending, or participating in any CFEG Program — I acknowledge that I have been given access to and the opportunity to read, and I agree to, consent to, and electronically sign, all of the following, even if a particular form is not separately opened or completed:
- The CFEG Participant Terms & Conditions (the “Master Terms”), including its Exhibits A–G and the required acknowledgments in Article 33;
- The CFEG School Handbook (academic policies — curriculum, credit, grading, attendance, and graduation);
- This CFEG Policies, Rules & Forms Manual and each of its Parts 1–21 (all policies, rules, agreements, and forms);
- The following forms specifically: the Equipment Loan & Security Deposit Agreement (Part 17), the Payment Plan Agreement (Part 18, if I elect a payment plan), the Media Release (Part 19, subject to my media choice below), the Field Trip & Transportation Consent (Part 20), and the Medical Authorization & Emergency Care authorization (Part 21).
A. Legal Effect
My electronic acceptance (including clicking “I AGREE,” typing my name, or completing online registration) is legally binding and has the same force and effect as a handwritten signature under the U.S. Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN), the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA) where applicable, and applicable U.S. Virgin Islands law (Master Terms Article 30). CFEG captures my typed name, the date, my IP address, a time stamp, and a confirmation number as evidence of acceptance.
B. Waivers Acknowledged
I understand that I am agreeing to substantial terms, including the assumption of risk and release of liability (Master Terms Article 23), indemnification (Article 24), confidentiality and intellectual-property restrictions (Articles 12–13), the recording and media consents (Articles 15–16), the jury-trial waiver, and the USVI governing-law and dispute-resolution provisions (Articles 28–29).
C. Information I Provide
Some forms also collect information — emergency contacts, medical details, the equipment issued, and any payment schedule. I agree to provide accurate, current information for these items in the registration system and to keep it updated. My consents and authorizations above apply even if a field is left blank; however, CFEG may require the information before issuing equipment, approving a payment plan, permitting participation in a field trip, or providing emergency care.
D. Minors
If the Participant is under 18, I am the parent or legal guardian, I have legal authority to consent on the minor’s behalf, and I give these agreements, consents, releases, and authorizations on behalf of the minor and in my own individual capacity, jointly and severally with the minor (Master Terms Article 31).
